Find out how our climate has changed since the beginning of industrialization, what the greenhouse effect is all about, what direct, indirect and social effects the climate crisis has and how you can define sustainability for yourself and for the pharmacy.
This module explains what a CO2-balance, what energy sources are available in the pharmacy and how this energy can be saved. It also provides tips and tricks on how the entire team can implement resource-saving work in the pharmacy.
You will learn about the impact of medicines on the environment. This mainly concerns asthma therapeutics, such as powder inhalers and metered dose inhalers, but also the proper disposal of medicines. Measures will be discussed on how you can implement what you have learned in the pharmacy with your team.
Module 4 of the PTA e-learning concludes the series: This is where things get very specific. For example, you will learn how to work in a resource-saving way in the pharmacy, where you can find out about the ecotoxicity of active ingredients, why vegan cosmetics are not necessarily animal-free, why microplastics are so dangerous for the environment, which hygiene products belong on a zero-waste shelf and how you can protect the climate with pharmaceutical services.
